Thank you!

It is through your willingness to serve that we can extend the heart of Christ locally and globally. There is nothing we love more than to see each of you form a meaningful connection within one of our community partners. We hope to see you soon as we continue to extend His grace through service together.

Global Vision Collective

May 2, 2023 | 6:00pm | Fellowship Student Center

Over the past several years, the Global Missions department has encountered many changes. With the challenge of a global pandemic and the retirement of our long-standing Global Pastor, John Winters, the department has used this time to reshape and re-envision a plan for the future.

At this year’s Global Vision Collective, we will share about this new plan and layout opportunities for you to get more involved in our global partnerships. Please join us to learn more about what Fellowship is doing around the world and get a better understanding of our new global strategy.

Dinner is included and everyone is invited!

Summer Serve Kickoff

May 21 | Fellowship Lobby

Join us for the kickoff of the annual Summer Serve!

Our lobby will be filled with people and information from our partners here in Knoxville. We would love for you to meet them, ask questions, and find ways to engage with the work they are doing in our city. There will also be some Fellowship-specific opportunities in which you can engage.

Living here in Knoxville, we get the honor of being part of God's movement for this time in His calendar - the chance to be with our neighbors, to partner with what Holy Spirit is doing, and extend the Kingdom. Join us in seeing and caring for those in our city.

Serve Locally

There are so many ways to get involved in your community right now!

Pines Food Truck

Mondays | 12:00-3:00pm | The Pines Community

We need your help! We have spent months developing a relationship with people in the Pines community, mainly through our weekly food delivery program.

We are looking people to help drive the truck with the food items for this mobile food pantry. Don't worry - we will train you! You can volunteer one Monday a month or every Monday if you'd like!

One ministry they will partner with is Esther’s Closet, which is a mentoring program offered to young mothers. If you’d like to join them in serving these folks, feel free to bring size 3-6 diapers or new/used NB to 6Toddler boy clothes! Please have these at the Kids Ministry Welcome Desk by April 2nd.

Future Encounter Leader Update

Tijuana, Mexico

In March the Mobilization Team hosted our first ever Future Encounters Leader Training (FELT) trip.

Over the past 3 months, these leaders participated in 10 hours of training that helped them discover our mission and vision for future Global Encounters. The training was concluded with a 5 day intensive trip in Mexico where they had a chance to meet with partners, experience initiatives that take place in the country, as well as enhance their leadership abilities to lead future teams.

Please join us in celebrating and praying for these leaders, as they explore which future Encounters they will be leading.

Family Encounter Update

Tijuana, Mexico

Over Spring Break, we took our annual Family Encounter to Mexico. This year was especially fun because we had grandparents, parents and grandchildren all serving together.

The team visited both TCM orphanages, served families at the Agape Migrant Hostel and participated in a variety of other Encounters. When weather inhibited one of the Encounters, the family team was tasked with a new opportunity. On Sunday night, they all worked together to throw an all-American dinner for the kids at TCM in Soler by grilling burgers, making french fries and of course warm apple pie.

This trip is a perfect opportunity for you and your family to learn and serve together while exploring how God is working all over the world.

Men's Tijuana, Mexico Encounter

April 14-19, 2023

Please pray for an 8-man team from our church as they engage in several long-standing relationships in a short amount of time. We ask for prayer that the Lord would continue to be near and work through us.

High School Tijuana, Mexico Encounter

May 23-31, 2023

Please pray for our high school team as they leave for Tijuana right after their school year ends.

If you would like to participate in upcoming Encounters, now is your time to apply! Simply applying doesn't commit you to a trip but just lets us know you are interested.

Build Together

Biggest Ramp Build EVER!

I have to tell you about the Biggest Ramp Ever Built by our teams! It was four levels and looked like it had to be a mile long!

Our Ramp Build ministry is amazing! This is a great place to learn basic construction skills or use your knowledge to help others. April 8 is the next one.

2nd Saturday Ramp Builds | April 8 | 9:00am – 3:00pm

Join us as we continue to partner with Operation Backyard to provide families and individuals safe access to their homes. This is a great opportunity to meet new Fellowship folks as well. No skills required. All leaders and supplies provided.

East Kentucky Rebuild | April 19-23

We are partnering with a group of churches in the Three Forks area of the east KY Appalachia region.

In addition to the rebuild team, we also need folks who will prepare our meals. There are many opportunities to serve in KY. Leaders/teachers, supplies, food, lodging and transportation are provided.

I promise that once you meet the community and see the devastation, you’ll want to return again and again until everyone has returned to their home.

Disaster Relief

Fellowship Church is honored to partner with

Tennessee Baptist Disaster Relief for those that want to serve during disaster events. We provide specialized training in many facets specific to Disaster Relief, both locally and globally.

There are a variety of trainings and training types in

February & March, located in Middle and East Tennessee.

If you would like to sign up for one of these trainings through Fellowship, contact Julie Carr.

God's Warehouse

May 10 | 8:00am-12:00pm

This warehouse in Morristown exists to combat humanitarian needs on a large scale. They are part of TN Baptist Disaster Relief and, therefore, are in partnership with Fellowship Church.

This massive warehouse is open every day receiving goods. Then they must sort, organize and pallet every item to load shipping containers and tractor trailers. You think about a recent disaster… KY flooding, Ukraine war, Turkey earthquake, gulf coast hurricanes … they are ready to be among the first to send relief. All ages welcome.

For more information, contact Julie Carr.

Turkey / Syria Relief

TN Baptist Disaster Relief partners with Medicorp. Soon after the earthquake, a highly trained team went to Turkey to serve, and be our eyes and ears on the ground. Needless to say, the relief efforts will be ongoing for a very long time.

Currently, we are asking for monetary donations to meet any need. Click the button below, choose FUND, then Turkey/Syria Earthquake to send 100% of your donation to those relief efforts.

Comunidad Hispaña

¡Bienvenidos!

The Hispanic Community at Fellowship is for anyone and everyone! There are many great ways to get involved with this community.

Lonsdale English Classes

Tuesdays | 9:30-11:000am | Lonsdale UMC

On Monday and Wednesday morning, from 9:30 am to 11:00 am, English classes are given to Hispanic women in the Lonsdale area. We are in special need of child care givers. Volunteers willing to play with and keep an eye on the children (0-4) while their mothers receive classes. The classes are held in the basement of Lonsdale United Methodist church.

This semester the women ended their unit on community with a field trip to the library where many of them solicited and got a library card. The next unit will be transportation which will end with a bus trip to downtown Knoxville in April.

The semester will end on May 10 with a celebration of Mother's Day, certificates and a store to purchase donated items with their Lonsdale dollars that they have earned by attending the classes. If you would like to join us in this adventure of enabling women to become self-sufficient, please do.

Fellowship English Classes

Wednesdays | 6:30-8:30pm | Fellowship Church

The English classes at Fellwoship have open enrollment. With open enrollment a student can join at anytime. This means there is a need for volunteers to work with the new students who do not fit into one of the established groups. So if you have a burden for internationals and are unable to travel or speak another language, this may be your mission field; your opportunity to develop relationships with internationals.

Intercambio's series Confidence and Connections is used at all levels except for the advanced level. Each teaching volunteer is given a copy of the teacher's book and a student book. Please prayerfully consider colaboring with us if you have a heart for internationals.

If you know an international who wants to learn or improve their English please recommend these classes to them. Most of the students come by word of mouth. Next fall we would like to attract more international students. One way to do that is by offering childcare.

If you enjoy being with children, consider serving international parents by taking care of their children while they attend their English classes. Please let us know if you would be willing to do so.

Fellowship Spanish Classes

Thursdays | 6:00-8:00pm | Fellowship Church

The Encounters to Tijuana, Mexico have begun! If you are planning to go on one of these Encounters, wouldn't it be great if you could communicate more than just "hola" and "dónde está el baño?"

Or maybe you have just come back from an Encounter and would like to learn more Spanish. In fact a couple of the Encounter participants are attending Fellowships Spanish classes!

Come and prepare yourself language-wise for your Mexican Encounter or your encounter with a local Hispanic

Patti & Benito Housewarming

Thanks to all who attended the housewarming. It was a special time of hearing testimonies of how God built the house and how the ministry has impacted some of the families in Lonsdale. To God be the glory.

As always, anyone is welcome to join us for our Hispanic Community Bible Study directly after 2nd service at Fellowship on Sundays! We meet in the Conference Center (Resource Room) near the Cafe.

If you would like to become more involved in the Hispanic Community in any of these ways, feel free to email, call, or text Benito or Patti.
